I am using resellpanel.com and having trouble with importing files from my desktop. Do you work with them also?

    2. Pete Magee

It does not work on one.com. In fact no back-up tools work with one.com. I tried Duplicator and that won’t work either. I contacted them and they recommended to use FTP πŸ™

    3. Pete Magee

Excellent product – so easy to use – but it does not work with one.com hosting – in fact no migration tool works with one.com hosting as far as I can tell.

I can backup and migrate from localhost to one.com but you cannot go the other way because a migration file cannot be correctly created from one.com.

    1. Pim J

      Hi Phillip,

The plugin exports everything inside wp-content folder, meaning the plugin will also include your plugins on export.

  1. Brian

I have a network server using amazon. There are a number of websites I host on this server. Will this plugin backup the entire network (exceeds 3 gb) or can I specify a specific website?

    Many thanks

    Hi
    I’am in switzerland. hoster metanet-ch.
My homepage as example: url. myhomepage.ch/wordpress/about-me
I want to delete the wordpress in the url: myhompeagte.ch/about-me

    thanks for answer

I am having trouble with restoring to a Network Solutions site. The Export seemed to work, the install seemed to go well until “Restoring Database…” where it stalls out.

Any known issues with Network Solutions? (Web.com)

    1. Yani I

      Hi Rick,

We are not aware of any issues with Web.com. Can you drop us a line at support at servmask.com and I will have someone to assist you?
      Thank you!

  4. Susan

I have to say that I was scared as all get out to try to move my sites with this tool, but it worked! I moved three sites from Fat Cow to BlueHost with no serious issued. On my largest site, I was having some issues exporting the file, but I think that had to do with the size and my not-so-great internet connection. When I excluded the images, things worked smoothly. Thank you for this fabulous tool!

    1. Pim J

      Hi Susan,

Thank you so much for the update.
I am glad you were able to successfully move your sites with the plugin. πŸ™‚

Hi, I’ve got two questions about your plugin:

    1) How much does it cost to upgrade so I can migrate a site that is larger than 512mb? Do I upgrade from within the plugin?
    2) Am I able to use the plugin as follows:

    –> 1) Export existing site at http://www.example.com
–> 2) Import that to a new host, using their staging URL e.g. examplecom.bluehost.com
–> 3) Point my old domain name (example.com) to the new host

So basically use it to migrate existing site and domain name to a new host.

Or can I only use it if changing domain name?

  6. Tom

I am using shared hosting at ehost. It does have c panel but beyond that I have really delved too deeply into their servers. I am still in local development.

  7. Paul Sneep

Hi my server provider is KnownSRV and my plugin installs then i activate it and it shows activated, but nothing shows on the dashboard left hand side about all in one wp migration, my plugin is: All-in-One WP Migration Unlimited Extension and my wp is version 4.2.2.

    My site is https://exbaybb.com/

    1. Pim J

      Hi Paul,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you make sure that the free version (All-in-One WP Migration version 5.39) is activated?
You will also need it installed to be able to use the Unlimited Extension.

If you need any assistance, please feel free to write to me at

      su*****@se******.com

      Thank you!

  8. audifax

Hi, I have installed the plugin on my local server. I’ve then created a website locally and then want to transfert it to the hosting that I’ll have to figure out. So I’d like to know if the Exported or downloaded file can be used on , for example, an external hard disk and then be used for taking this local file( the one downloaded using the plugin) to a hosting ( in order to bring the website online)!!!

  9. Adam Hyde

It works on Cloudaccess for both exporting and importing, but I can’t get it to work on 123reg. Loading bar gets to 3% then starts going down again until there’s a HTTP error

  10. Eulises Avila

Hello, first I’ve used in Google Cloud and has served me very well.

However I take the opportunity to ask, if you have videos or screenshots of the extension for Amazon s3, to perform backup automatically, for example daily, and if you use Amazon s3 and a 1GB file is generated, I will need to buy also add unlimited ?, or importing directly from S3 no matter what size?

    1. Pim J

      Hi Eulises,

      Thank you for reaching out.
Is it possible for you to send me an email directly to support at servmask.com, so I can provide you screenshots requested?
Our Amazon S3 Extension already includes the Unlimited Extension. Meaning you do not have to purchase the Unlimited Extension to import a 1GB file from Amazon S3.

    1. Scott

Yes. I use this plugin on all my WordPress sites that are hosted on Vultr, plus one that’s hosted at HostRocket.

  11. Dale Reardon

Has anyone used between Pagely and Kinsta Hosting? I want to transfer a site to Kinsta.
    Thanks,
    Dale.

  12. Inspire

Netorigin.com.au and Sitegound.com works. I’ve tested the migration and it worked like a charm.
To be honest, I had problems moving to another host, even though both use cpanel. I couldn’t get the cpanel migration to work. I tested about 5 other free plugins, and none of them worked properly (They worked, but had problems). I tested yours, and worked perfectly. I bought the google drive plugin too, testing it now so I’m sure it will work there as well!

Doing this server migration made me realise that don’t depend on your hosting provider for the backup. Why? If you ever needed to change server asap, you’ll have a problem with the migration as all hosts has their own setup. With this plugin, it just works (inside wordpress).

Thanks for the plugin, and the paid extension. You guys are awesome!

    1. Pim J

      Hi Carlo,

Thank you so much for reaching out.
Yes, we do have users with the sites hosted with Aruba.it and the plugin works fine.

  13. Kwun Nam

    Hi,

Does it work if I want to migrate website in the subdomain to the main domain within the same hosting? I am using vodien web hosting. \

    Please advice
    Thank you

    1. Pim J

      Hi Steven,

GoDaddy is one of our supported hosting providers and the plugin should also be working on RackSpace.

    1. Andrew

I have just imported into site hosted on TSOHost and its imported fine (from host Heart Internet).

All seems fine. Not checked in detail. It was a blank WP install so there was no risk really. I originally tried to copy/move site the manual method by copying files and database and importing etc – but the database struggled to import I think because of the size.

      1. karl

Hi – could you tell me what Host / Port you used for connecting to TSO as I can’t connect whatever I try! Even TSO’s own hosting team don’t know! Worrying…
        Thanks

  14. Matt

Will this tool work to move from a cloud hosted provider to a local hosted server (our company hosting it)?

    1. Pim J

      Hi Matt,

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, our plugin will work as long as both of your sites are using WordPress.

  15. Tiago Figueiredo

guys, Guys, GUYS…. Sorry about the excessive caps but THANK YOU SO MUCH for this AMAZING plugin!

I was having a complete nightmare migrating host providers to a temporary URL and you saved me hours of work, a lot of grief and most certainly a good amount or hair. I know I won’t hold on to it forever, but I’m sure you’ve extended a lot of its lifetime.

I will put the Pro version on my buying wishlist, even though I don’t need it right now, quite simply because you bloody deserve it!

    Just a couple of sidenotes…

I really wanted to give you a 5 star review but kept being redirected to a support topic, regardless of whether I clicked from within the plugin in WP or in the plugin’s page in WordPress.org. So, i’m leaving my review here for now:

    *****

Second sidenote: the plugin worked like a charm in Locaweb.com.br and even though you’ve probably never heard of it, it is the leading host provider in Brazil.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

    All the best.
    Tiago

    1. Pim J

      Hi Tiago,

It is very nice of you to leave us a review here. We really appreciate it.
I will add Locaweb to the list of our supported hostings. πŸ™‚

      Thank you!

  16. Danielle Johnson

Does it work for IXWeb Hosting??? Because I’m trying and its not working…
I downloaded it and I got an error message (Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /hsphere/local/home/bbbmfcu/themakeupcompany.ca/wp-admin/menu.php on line 97)

    1. Pim J

      Hi Danielle Johnson,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
It looks like you are running out of memory.
There are a couple options: you can upgrade your dedicated server to one that is more powerful if that is the issue, or you can update your web server configuration to allow for more memory.
WordPress recommends at least 256MB of available memory and looks like the server failed to proceed after reaching 67MB (that’s what 67108864 bytes equal to).

  17. Ivan

Hi i used in the past this plugin and it worked wonderfully on Aruba host.
After the update at the last version of wordpress 4.6.1 this plugin doesn’t work anymore :’-(
i can backup the site in a file ( about 100mb) when i import the site from my localhost to the server it froze to “unpacking archive”.
i tryed to wait but after about an hour nothing.
i created 2 site with different themes, plug etc etc and in both site i found this problem.
    can you help me please?
    Thanks a lot.

  18. jorge

Hi, im working on 1and1 and when i’m trying to import a previously exported website onto a new wp instalation it just freezes after the “continue” button and then i just get a 500 internal server error :/

i have several projects goin on and i just bought the unlimited extension with no success. can you help me? thanks

    1. Pim J

      Hi jorge,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
How large is your .wpress backup?
Could you let me know what your mysql.connect_timeout and max_execution_time are?

  19. Nailuj

Hi! I was wondering if this can export ALL of my website page layout and customization? I know it can export themes and plugins, but I was worried if it can still maintain the actual layout of my websites (page layout, button size, color themes, custom css, etc.)

    Thanks!!

  20. Dave Smith

Hi there. I use Hostmonster for most of my hosting needs. I may need to migrate another site TO hostmonster soon. You list “Bluehost” as a tested provider. As Hostmonster are a part of Bluehost, is your plugin assured to work for Hostmonster as well?

  21. KEN

i want to export files.it says

    Unable to open /export/sd209/www/jp/r/e/gmoserver/3/5/sd0429635/xxxxx.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/23gfcu2orld2/xxxxx.com-blog-20161207-102410-657.wpress

so how can i fix this ?

      1. Tricia

Newbie question. Does that mean the server where the site is hosted? Or does that mean the computer you are trying to export it to?

        1. Pim J

          Hi Tricia,

It means the server where the site is hosted or if it is on your localhost, then the disk space of your computer.

  22. peu

Glad to inform that cool plugin is supported on AdroitSSD.It’s working perfectly on our cpanel account. My php.ini memory limit is 1gb, so no issue at all.

  23. Bob

I have a potential client using Known Host for his current site. I’m going to develop a new site for him using a temporary domain I have with GoDaddy. I realize I can get it out of GoDaddy but looking to find out the following:

    1. Has anyone tested this with Known Host
    2. Can I simply install the plug in in the current live site and then, when ready, import the new site and just overwrite the old one (after backing it up, of course.

    Thanks for any advice

  24. Daniel Salzman

I’ve have a VPS at Rosehosting. I’ve noticed that they used your plugin to migrate my site. You should also add Rosehosting to the list.

  25. Saparonia

I have a free-for-life domain with limited space and a paid domain that is hosting my wordpress site. Can I migrate to the free site which is at present hosted by Plusnet?

  26. Pete Magee

Do you have any plans to make the tool do Scheduled Back-ups? If you did that would be awesome as this has to be the easiest back-up application out there.

    Thank you

    Pete

  27. InducingV

    Hi,

I’m having a horrible, horrible time trying to migrate a particular wp site from Hostgator to another host I use all the time with no issues.

When I’m trying to install the site’s backup file (also using ya’lls extension for larger files) it hangs up on “Activating mu-plugins…”

I always deactivate all the plugin before I use the backup to file feature – so I don’t know what it’s “activating”.

    Any ideas?

  28. Gfuzz

works on networksolutions.com as well πŸ™‚ ….. just transfered from freehostia.com >>> networksolutions.com. Thank you for the fantastic product!!!!!

  29. Chaz DeSimone

Did you see my question? Will your plugin work with Tierra.Net hosting?

It seems to download and upload fine, but after the first “Save” for the permalinks, it timed out before I could save it the second time. (Then the entire site became solid code, not pretty.) Could be the hosting company…which is why I’d like an answer. Thanks.

    1. Pim J

      Hi Chaz,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
      Hi,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you edit your wp-config.php file and set WP_DEBUG to true?
While doing, refresh the frontend and you should see an error there.
Please copy the error here so that we can take a look.

  30. Rich Robinson

Great plugin, and the multisite extension saved me a TON of work just last week. I would like to also report that this plugin did work for me on WP Engine.

  31. Sherry

Just migrated my site using this plugin on Freehostia. I have the ‘free’ hosting which is under 500kb data transfer so was very happy my 70mb import went through without a hitch!! Worked like a charm! PermaLinks had to be resaved more than the twice in the instructions to get it all working. Took me less than 10 minutes to have it up and running. Thanks for the great plugin!

  32. Kavin

Actually, this plugin also works fine with Cenmax’s Hosting Services. I hope you will add it to the list too. THanks for making such a Fantastic Plugin for WP Lovers like me!

  33. Tim

For wordpress developers I can confirm that:

    1) It works with Hawk Host (already listed)

    2) It works WITHIN AMPPS wordpress development environment on a mac os x

    and

    3) It works WITHIN Local (by flywheel) wordpress development environment on a mac- os x

The most painless way to migrate to and from your local development environment to/from your main server πŸ˜€

  34. Alan

Worked great when I migrated a site from Hostgator to United Hosting (UK). In the case of some relative links to some pages, I had to insert the temporary URL to view them because DNS still points to hostgator, at the time of the migration.

  35. Brian

    Works great on my hosting.
It’s a fantastic plugin combined with unlimited extension. Extension is very handy when I am migrating large websites.

  36. David Whitehouse

Just used this to export my site from G*d#ddy to Krystal UK. Worked flawlessly – thanks guys for an awesome plugin.

  37. Nenad Gurović

Fantastic. I Liked this Plugin! Everything is handled properly, post, page, plugin, media,… 100% πŸ™‚

    – It works with Optima Hosting

    – It works when migrate local wordpress (WAMP) to live server

    1. Lesley Arnold

      Hi Greg
Yes, the plugins are also backed up as well as any data associated with the plugin that is stored in the wp-content folder. For this reason you need to be very careful if you use any other backup plugins that put backups on your server as your can land up backing up backups, growing the size of your file exponentially. We exclude our own backups, but not the backups from other plugins.
      Kind regards
      Lesley

  38. Ruben

What about SiteGround??? I installed the plug-in today, but I have been using it with a different host for 2 months and now today I can not find the import and export buttons?? Is this because WordPress changed their menus or something to do with this new “network active”

I see that the plug-in is installed, active and WP says it is compatible but I can not use it. Please help me out

    1. Pim J. Iliev

      Hi Elisa,

Unfortunately, we have never heard any feedback from Shellrent users.
Are you trying to backup or migrate the website?

    1. Lesley Arnold

      Hi Urooz
We are compatible with most hosting. If you are having specific issues, please can you email our support team at support at servmask dot come to discuss?
We can’t control the limitations that hosting (especially free hosting) put on their servers. If you have found the plugin to be incompatible, have you contacted your hosting to check if they want to make themselves compatible with our plugin?

    1. Pim J. Iliev

      Hi Cindy,

Unfortunately, we have never heard any feedback from Feedblitz users. You can try installing the plugin on your website and click “Export to File” to see if it works for you.
We have a video tutorial to assist you to backup/migrate your site.
Please take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpWxCeUWBOk

  39. Lutz

Hi, I’m afraid the plaugin is not compatible with the German hoster WebhostOne, right? I can export a small WP page, but when importing to MAMP (local) all pages, plugins etc. are missing. Only the theme is right. The database is filled, the Uploads folder also contains everything. It doesn’t work…

    1. Pim J. Iliev

Never received any feedback from their users.
You can check to see if it works by installing the plugin and try to create a backup using “Export to File”. Please let us know how it goes.

  40. Bheki

Seems like not working on Cloud Flare, I imported the site to my localhost and backups works fine but when Importing form localhost to live site it get stuck at on database restoration

    1. Pim J. Iliev

      Hi Bheki,

      What is your PHP version?
      If the plugin is stuck at “Restoring X% files”, “Restoring Database” or “Activating mu-plugins”;
      1. While on β€œRestoring database”, leave the plugin running for another 15 minutes
      2. After 15 minutes, open another tab and try to login to wp-admin with WP Admin username/password of the exported site
      3. Go to settings -> permalinks and save the permalinks structure twice. At this point, your website should be successfully migrated.

If it is not and you get a 500 error, please edit your wp-config.php file and set WP_DEBUG to true then refresh the page and you should see an error.
This may help you to determine the problem, or you can share the error with us to give you support on fixing it.

    1. Pim J. Iliev

      Hi Tiago,

If the import through “Import from File” is failing, you can upload your .wpress file via FTP to the folder wp-content/ai1wm-backups.
To restore the file, please use the “Restore” button in the Backups section of the plugin.
You can check out our video tutorial on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRp7qTFYKgs for more details.

  41. Robin

Hostgator (HG) works for the most part, but I’ve experienced missing images (requiring them to be reloaded) and on a couple of occasions, a broken site!). Not sure whether that was the fault of something I did or HG architecture. Certainly though, absent images have been a recurring issue using the plugin.

  42. Doug Schumacher

    Hi

I’m trying to use All-In-One Migration with Google Cloud hosting via a Virtual Machine.

I’ve changed the mySQL password and setup phpMyAdmin.

I’ve imported the .wpress site, and the home page loaded, and the home page loaded, but none of the links loaded. And while all the Pages are listed, they’re empty. No content. The Blog posts seem to have all loaded.

    Here’s the URL:
    http://35.238.217.74/

Any idea what might be going on, or if this even works with Google Cloud VMs?

    thanks

What is your use case? Are you moving your website to papaki or creating a backup on papaki?

  44. Richmond

please i have installed the plugin but it is not showing me the export and the import. The plugin is not giving me a way to edit it

  45. Darryl Erentzen

I’ve successfully used this plugin to export from verio.com to Dreamhost, Bluehost, and AWS Lightsail, and from AWS Lightsail to all the others.

I’m loving it, and have recommended it to clients

  46. Dree

I need to transfer a site from POWWEB to BLUEHOST.

I see that you work with Bluehost but Powweb is not listed, is it possible to add Power?

    Hi Matt,
    Great thanks for asking.
    Will work in WordPress.com?

    Hello,
I’m performing an installation on a provider here in Brazil, Origiweb

I’m having problems, it’s crashing when importing the file at 70% and then a question arose:
The plugin needs some specific version or extension of PHP to run

I’m under the impression that something PHP is crashing, can you help me?

    Thank you and await comments
    Hugs

    1. Yani I

Please read this guide: How to Increase Maximum Upload File Size in WordPress

The easiest way to figure out the problem is to request error logs from your hosting provider for your website, then examine them around the time when you tried to upload the file.
You will see what limit you have encountered and increasing it will solve the issue.

The settings in PHP that you likely need to adjust are:

`upload_max_filesize` – set this to a value > than your backup
`post_max_size` – set this to a value > than your backup
`memory_limit` – set this to a value > than your backup
      `max_execution_time` – set this to 0 (infinite)

I would have expected to find SiteGround in your list of supported hosting providers, but it’s not there. I confess I’m a WP newbie – what have I misunderstood?

I’m currently hosting my site on a Microsoft Azure platform. I see that someone has migrated to Azure but don’t see it in any of your lists. I am having problems restoring a backup, from file. I need to restore a backup because an Optimiser Plugin I used has totally trashed my site, I backed up to file before using it. The default upload limit (50Mb), has been increased (1024Mb) to allow me to import the backup file. It’s 533Mb which seems a bit steep (I think) considering I’ve only been doing this for a few weeks. The upload process stalls at the 100% stage. Last night, I left it like that for a couple of hours but saw no change so cancelled the upload before I went to bed. This morning, I gave it another go and will leave it for the rest of the day if I have to. I have no access to FTP or the base directories and have no idea how to get to the back end like I can when I host locally. As you can probably tell, I’m pretty new to this but I’ve spent a fair bit of time on my site and I’m hoping I don’t have to start again simply because a restore doesn’t work. TIA,
