The All-in-One WP Migration plugin enables you to specify what files you want to be exported. This comes in handy when you only want to back up certain parts of your website. Using the “Advanced Options” feature gives you this flexibility.
From the All-in-One WP Migration panel in your WordPress dashboard, click on the “Export” option. Next, click to expand the advanced option.
Once this option is expanded, you should see something like this:
For users of any of our premium extensions, you have more options to pick from. Here is what it looks like for you:
From here, you can choose certain parts of your website to be excluded from the backup. For example, if you do not want to include your uploads folder, check the box “Do not export media library (files)”. On the other hand, you may want to export only the database. In this case, you should exclude all other parts of the website, as shown in the screenshot below:
Excluding Selected Files (Premium Extension)
There may be a need to be more specific in the folders/files you do not want to include in your export file. In situations like this, you can use the “Do not include the selected files” option. Once you check the box, it should open up and display your list of folders/files, starting from all the folders/files in the wp-content directory. From here you can select the folders/files you need to be excluded. Once done, click “Done”.
Excluding Selected Database Tables (Premium Extension)
You may also want to exclude some database tables from your backup. This could be tables created by another plugin, that you do not want to be imported on another site. In situations like this, you can use the “Do not include the selected database tables” option. Once you check the box, it should open up a list of all your database tables, and you can check the tables you want to exclude. This is shown in the screenshot below.
