When you use Safari on an Apple computer, it will automatically unpack zipped archives. This may prevent you from installing the extension on your WordPress installation. If you try to compress the unpacked folder and upload the .zip file as a plugin in your website’s plugins page, you will get an “Incompatible archive” error. Here are two suggested workarounds:
- Download a new copy of your extension using another browser like Chrome.
- Adjust the settings on Safari so that your computer does not automatically unzip attachments. You can do this by unchecking the box next to “Open “safe” files after downloading” in Safari’s general settings.
